Extra characters:
You have to successfully complete the game to unlock more characters. Each time you complete the game you`ll get more characters.
Alternate costumes:
Each character in game has four different costumes, that can be used in any mode except Story. To use one of these costumes, hold down: R1, R2, L1, or L2 while selecting the character of your choice.
Play as Leann Caldwell:
Play through story mode, only using Kou. After you defeat Duragon for the final time you will view a FMV sequence where you have to fight Leann. Defeat her to unlock her in survival and versus modes.
Play as Wong Leung:
Play through story mode with any character. However, do not use Sion in the fight against Kaldea (the panther), and after that fight use Sion to complete the game. After you defeat Duragon for the final time you will view a FMV sequence where you have to fight Wong. Defeat him to unlock her in survival and versus modes.
Play as Topless Duragon:
Successfully complete story mode three times using any character. After defeating Duragon for the second time, he will get up again and fight topless. Defeat him to unlock that version of him in survival and versus modes.
Play as Kou with MSF costume:
Play through story mode with any character. However, use Kou to infiltrate the Mikado Building. The MSF costume for Kou will now be unlocked in survival and versus modes.
Play as Sion with black hood costume:
Successfully complete survival mode by defeating the black-hooded version of Sion to unlock that costume in survival and versus modes.
Bonus characters:
Successfully complete story mode to unlock extra characters in survival and versus modes each time that it is finished.
Increased character rank:
Every time story mode is completed, the rank of the extra characters in survival and versus modes will increase. This does not include Volt, Sion, and Kou.
Alternate costumes:
At the character selection screen in survival and versus modes, hold L1, L2, or R2 and choose a fighter. Note: This has no effect in story mode.
Kaldea (the panther) deaths:
Do not use Sion when you get separated or in the ship when fighting Kaldea.
Do not use Sion when you get separated, but use Sion when fighting Kaldea in the ship.
Use Sion when you get separated and in the ship when fighting Kaldea.
Sion endings:
Normal ending:
Play through story mode, only using Sion.
Wong`s ending:
Play through story mode, only using Kou or Volt. However, use Sion when fighting Dauragon. Sion will think about his master.
Kaldea`s ending:
Do not use Sion when you get separated. Use Sion in the ship when fighting Kaldea (the panther) and in the final fight with Dauragon. Sion will remember what Kaldea said.
Dominique`s ending:
Use Sion when you get separated, when fighting Kaldea (the panther) in the ship, and when fighting Dauragon to see Dominique`s story.
Leann Caldwell:
Play through the entire game, only selecting Kou. After you defeat Dauragon for the final time you will view a FMV sequence where you have to fight Leann. Defeat her to unlock her in versus and survival modes.
Master Wong:
Select Volt or Kou in their story line through the Mikado Building and have either of them fight Kaldea. Select Sion for the fight with Dauragon. After the battle, Sion remembers a battle with Master Wong. Defeat him to unlock Master Wong in versus or survival modes.
Mugetsu with mask:
Successfully complete the Mikado Building-Hanging Garden level to unlock Mugetsu with his mask in versus and survival modes.
Mugetsu without mask:
Successfully complete the Galeos-Mid Flight level to unlock Mugetsu without his mask in versus and survival modes.
PD-4:
Defeat the PD-4 during story mode to unlock it in versus and survival modes.
Sion with black hood:
Successfully complete survival mode by defeating the black-hooded version of Sion to unlock that costume in versus and survival modes.
Hint - Defeating most Bosses easily:
Play as Kou. After you have gotten his uppercut attack, wail. If you timed correctly, you can juggle the enemy in the air several times.
Hint - Kou: Phone conversation:
Take Kou on the first battle against MSFs at Fate. When Kou calls Leann, you will hear what she says to Kou
